Loved it! And I've managed to find yet another place I've been repeatedly yet not reviewed. 30 years ago, there were 3 great sandwich places - that I knew - in Sarasota, Anger's on Lime, Subconscious on 301 & A's on South Trail (US 41). The other two are gone, both well before Covid showed up. A's continues the tradition and we are better for it. The food is great, made right there in front of your eyes to your direction in a manner you would use at home. And the staff is friendly & polite even in the middle of a lunch rush. Located in a strip mall and parking can get tight when busy. And the wait can get to the more impatient who insist on eating at specific times. Be flexible and you'll be rewarded. Sure, you can eat at one of those chain sandwich shops that exist nearly everywhere, but when you can get a fresh pastrami sandwich on rye bread made by caring hands, why wouldn't you?

Bread is baked daily and is great! A large sandwich provides leftovers. It's a 'must stop' for me when I'm in the area. Locally owned/ operated; the owners are behind the counter and they're great people.
An amazing hole in the wall establishment with heritage, they bake their own bread and have limited hours. If you are lucky enough, this place is a blast from the past! As you can see, there are almost no photos of their food. There is a good reason for that. We order, then go to the beach or on a boat. Once we touch that sandwich, there is no phone, just bliss!
First time getting subs from here and they did not disappoint! Super friendly ladies made my sandwich and cashed me out. Will be returning after this good experience and yummy subs :)
Best Italian sandwich I've ever eaten and yes, I lived in Italy for three years. The bread is fresh and smells so good. This family owned business has served our family since 1966 and I've never been disappointed with the food.
Fantastic subs! If you are a sub lover, you will love this place. I always make a point to stop in for lunch when I'm on that end of town. My favorite is the Italian as shown in the pics. Their sub rolls are so soft and fresh all the time! Staff is always friendly.

Fantastic sandwiches with their own baked daily breads. The beautiful lady that helped us today was so welcoming and proud of the restaurant. She should be because these were the best deli sandwiches ever!!!! Fair prices for exceptional customer service and ingredients. What a find in our backyard! Love love love love love this shop!
